Modern companies are oriented towards an integrated management of all departments and services, and it is in this vision that automation influences Recipes that up to a few years ago were stored in the minds and notebooks of the head dyer.
In recipe management there are usually two different objectives:
Explicit:
- Precise imitation of a color sample
- Repeatability of a shade among different lots
- Solidity of the dye
- Corrodibility of the dye for printing applications
Implicit:
- Perfect uniformity of color
- Solidity of light
- Solidity during sweating and washing
- Shine and fullness of color tone
- Absence of dyeing wrinkles
In order to have a positive response, it is essential to correctly calculate the recipe. The recipe is the mixture of products that are needed for specifics on how to dye the product and how to get the required color with solidity characteristics, trying to optimize cycles. This department is responsible for developing concepts and solutions, the "when and how" of dilutions, tarnishing, abating, fiber solubility, light solidity, dampness, crackling, sweating, samples, delta E concept, color tolerance, recipe corrections, and dying process restarts.
The ESSEDI software application takes all this information into account, calculating the quantities to be used based upon the product’s permeability, weight per unit of measurement, and the bath’s volume.
You can calculate the percentage of absorbency, on the weight of one liter of solution or on varied units of measurement, residual of one bath, or total loss.
